AFRICAN FARMING TODAY 2

 AFRICAN FARMING & OUR MISSION:

Our mission is to be the best in the world in micro hydro electric and water resource management: by evolving innovative damless hydroelectric and water transfer technology. We create Today’s Tall Tree Nurseries to support Micro Finance for women farmers and their families using the Carbon Tax Fund, a new form of foreign aid. We export Mechanization for more productive African Farming.

African Farming

Big problems arising from increased crop production in African farming include tremendous erosion and the depletion of natural vegetation. Marginal land is particularly vulnerable. The results are all too evident: perennial streams are now ephemeral, and massive quantities of topsoil silt up dams and flow into the oceans. The region is doomed to more frequent famines that will be the consequence of diminishing cropland, grazing and water resources.

Untitled-1

A total of 340 million ha of woody vegetation in dryland zones of Africa have become degraded through human activities like; overgrazing, agricultural expansion, overexploitation, and deforestation. Both of Africa’s staple crops, maize and sorghum, are expected to be badly hit by increasing severity of weather. Demand from growing populations may double food prices.Local Nursery

The absence of investments in African farming means that farms remain small; the added value of agricultural processing is negligible or absent. With the number of water-scarce countries set to rise over the next ten years, more needs to be done.

Africans need to turn their mind to boosting economic growth, which has ground to a pace slower than population growth. Without greater opportunities, the frustrations of the young and uneducated will only worsen.

Investments in small-scale hydroelectric technologies and irrigation could yield a direct net benefit of up to $200 billion to Africa’s 100 million farmers.

The Energy policy of 2003 of Tanzania show that 1% of population in rural Tanzania has access to electricity. The rest approximately 98% use firewood which also implies alarming rate of environmental destruction.

All It Takes Is 3

The United Nations uses three key variables as average measure of human development in any country:

  • a decent standard of living (food);
  • a long and healthy life (health); and
  • being knowledgeable (knowledge).

Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day.

  • Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime…
  • But why does the man have no fish?
  • Not just through charitable funds, but we engender a genuine partnership with the oppressed.
  • We develop Leadership Skills.
  • Carbon Tax Funds will make a difference not just for the life of one person, but to an entire global community.

What should a community do with its unused land?

  • The concept of an AgroforestryToday's-Tall-Trees allows farmers to support themselves with crops while the trees of an orchard eventually become productive between 3 to 5 years. Net Present Value (NPV) of a tree is $1.04. (100 trees in 1/2 acre): $104 ; 20,000 fruit or nut trees in 120 ha: $20,800.0000Today's-Tall-Tree2
  • The global community gains from carbon sequestration of trees, the only solution to soak up excess carbon dioxide in the world: $1.49/tree: Net Present Value

Please Noteanother calculation of NPV of fruit trees living for 25 years = $0.49/tree plus $1.00/tree for maintenance: $1.49/tree. (Fruit trees are productive for 25 years and then are replaced.)

  • Micro forestry enables communities of farm families to accomplish what none could accomplish by working alone. Over ten years, a woman farmer earns more than $5,600 from a half acre of trees and one acre of short-term crops.
  • The Rabbit Colony Farm does the marketing and slaughtering: a two-month-old rabbit for breeding fetches at least 2,500 Ksh. On average 200 kits/month will be traded for 50 adult rabbits from the farm and the families return home with them or sell them to the farm at about 180 Ksh each: 36,000 Ksh
  • The landlord earns fees for leasing his or her unused land with an offer to purchase.
  • The women farmers and their families in groups of five (non-related) have access to micro loans and the long term sublease of their land. Only three percent of such financing needs are currently being met.
  • The nutrient-rich water generated by fish farming is used to fertilize nearby gardens and trees while producing 1,500 kg of fish per year.
  • An irrigation/micro hydro system near flowing water without a dam in remote areas of underdeveloped countries is the second phase of our project: 780 Kw for 2000 households.
  • Low agricultural output in Africa is a big problem, but Living Water MicroFinance Inc. see the wisdom in starting small. Yes, a small farmer cannot buy an expensive tractor, for example, but businesses or co-ops can eventually provide tractor services, as well as planters and harvesters. It’s done all over the world. Africa has all the resources it needs to become the breadbasket of the world, if only production could be made more efficient.Living Water Is 6

Invest in Africa Farming

According to the World Bank, agriculture employs 65 percent of Africa’s labor force and accounts for 32 percent of gross domestic product. Yet, African farm yields are among the lowest in the world. Further, a 2013 FAO report indicates that Sub-Sahara Africa has the highest percentage of undernourished people. The impact to agriculture is expected to increase partly due to climate change.  Many parts of Africa are already experiencing the problem climate change impacting water and agriculture.

The future could be bright for Africa’s agriculture. But to realize its full potential the continent’s governments need to rethink their approach to encouraging investment. What is wrong with this picture? Large land deals between African governments and usually foreign (and sometimes domestic) investors have seen swathes of the countryside leased often for as much as 50 to 99 years. Africa Unused Land

The World Bank estimates that Africa could more than triple the value of its food output from $313 billion a year to $1 trillion if its governments were to “radically rethink their policies and support to agriculture. There are vast tracks of unutilized potential farmland.

Unless someone like Living Water MicroFinance Inc. goes in and builds those farms and supports African businesses from the ground up, there won’t be a pipeline for the larger funds, the development finance institutions or private equity to invest in.

Is African agriculture in desperate need of investment? It’s not the absence of capital that’s holding back investment, it’s the absence of bankable projects that is the problem.  develops concrete alternative development programs that confirm land and other resource rights in the hands of local farming families and invest in them.

For example, the native oil palm species grows wild but with very low yields that are commercially unprofitable. Partnering with an African Department of Agriculture, agronomic specialists, Living Water MicroFinance Inc.  can  help farmers cultivate high-yielding productive seeds including palm seedlings.  In addition, Living Water MicroFinance Inc. can guarantee Demand Dividends with the support of the Carbon Tax Fund from the Net Present Value of tree planting.

Investing in Africa Farming is the next best thing

Investors are being encouraged to look at adding agriculture into their portfolios as we witness significant declines in oil and commodity export returns. Over 60 per cent of the world’s arable land is situated on the African continent, which makes for a very compelling Africa Agricultural investment case

A seventy per cent increase in agriculture production is needed to feed the more than nine billion people expected worldwide in 2050, of which 25 per cent will be in Africa, so as the demand for food soars on a global scale, the greatest opportunity for profits in agriculture is in Africa.

Thirty-nine million hectares of agricultural land in Africa is physically suitable for irrigation but currently only 7 per cent of this farmable land is irrigated, and in sub-Saharan Africa that figure is at only 3.7 per cent.

Living Water MicroFinance Inc., being a non-profit, keeps its own returns low (81/2%/year), but private lenders often earn more. For most poor borrowers, even interest rates as high as 20–30 per cent are still lower than the exorbitant rates usually charged by loan sharks.

AFRICA AGRICULTURAL HOPESPOTS

But new research reveals that there are also “hopespots” in drought-prone environments where there is enormous potential for expanding simple farming techniques.untitled-1

Carbon Emission to be Solved

The world leaders must find a way to absorb carbon dioxide emissions that is in our atmosphere now. Trees and soils are the only way to absorb the present glut of CO2 in your world.

Presently these funds are improperly managed because they attempt to make the tax neutral by redirecting the fund for tax rebates to working families, cutting sales tax and reducing the tax on manufacturing. All this is very admirable but it doesn’t solve the high concentration of carbon dioxide in our atmosphere, which is presently causing global warming.

carbon dioxide conversion

The Funds to Finance Rehabilitation

There are two sources of funds based on two different methods of absorbing carbon emissions: one from biochar in soils and the other from planting of trees.

On one hectare of farm land of 500 trees:

  1. Land Degradation Neutrality (LDN) Fund for BIOCHAR IN SOILSldn fund

LND Fund seeks to mobilize US$2 billion annually; they estimate that the average cost of land rehabilitation is $100- $150/ha. In Africa, five countries have voluntary committed to LND including Senegal.

i_image2_senegal

  • 500 trees/hectare will yield 50 tons of Carbon from branches and weeds or (50 tons x ⅓) 16.7 tons of CO2 emission absorption from the production of
  • The value of the capture of carbon in the form of Biochar is $250/year at the tax rate of $15/ton. (The LDN Fund offers $150/year based on $10/ton of carbon emissions.)
  1. The Carbon Tax Fund for TREES: the fund can support 500 trees for a total cost of $200/year for a period of 25 years plus an initial $750:

untitled-8 untitled-7

  • There will be 500 trees with a NPV of $0.50/tree: at the rate of $15/ton, the Net Present Value (NPV) is $200/year.
  • Add $1.00/tree for reporting and auditing for 25 years (that’s a one-off total – not per year): $500 to be monitored by Living Water MicroFinance Inc. for 25 years.untitled-10

This part of the fund will support each 1.5 acre farm that will have access to $150/year n the form of micro finance assistance complements of the Carbon Tax Fund. Each $150 will be recycled nine times for a total of $1,350.

This micro finance will be made available to women farmers and their families who need support before the orchards become productive after 18 months: they will maintain this agroforest farms by planting vegetable like yam in between the new tree seedlings. The micro finance loan will be due after the harvest.untitled-11

The tree farm is supported by a Today’s Tall Tree Nursery managed by Living Water MicroFinance Inc. in order to reduce the cost of tree seedlings. The fruit and nut tree seedlings along with nitrogen fixing trees are supplied by Today’s Tall Tree Nursery.untitled-12

The reporting and auditing of trees for 25 years at the rate of $1.00/tree will help finance a Today’s Tall Tree Nursery to service over 100 hectare (beginning with 50,000 tree seedlings). The estimated fixed cost is $80,000. This decentralized system is preferable to the present centralized nurseries that have costly transportation costs for very vulnerable tree seedlings.

This calculation does NOT include income streams from the fruit and nut produce, which are reserved for the women farmers and their families.  Later, irrigation can be added for a remunerative 275% crop improvement.

There will be a stipulation that all biomass on the 1.5 acre farm will be converted to Biochar every year. Creating Biochar on a farm involves incentives: the women farmer and her family will receive $150 based on the carbon tax rate of $15/ton for a total of 34 tons/year of carbon sequestered.

Living Water MicroFinance Inc. will arrange partnerships with African landlords (who provide a long term lease) for woman farmers and their families.

Christianity and Hinduism Differences

BILLIONS OF CHRISTIANS CAN’ T ALL BE WRONG!

Christianity is not a philosophy, but it is  a relationship with God, your Creator,  in Christ TODAY. It is not knowledge of abstract principles.

HOW DO WE KNOW THIS?

1. DELIVERANCE?

Some Christian disciples use deliverance to deliver away evil spirits influencing people. These evil spirits cause depression, addictions and illness through all forms of stress.

2. COMPLETE SENSE OF PEACE?

After you have been delivered from evil influences, you will have a definite physical experience of a complete sense of peace.

3.  HEALING?

Once you experience a physical sense of peace because of deliverance, you know that you will be healed. This helps you build up your faith, which is very crucial: No faith! No healing!

Some Christian disciples have the gift of healing.   Only the Name of Jesus Christ makes healing and deliverance possible.

THE WHOLE FAMILY BENEFITS

In the end, one Christian conversion will benefit the whole family.  The gifts of the Holy Spirit of healing and deliverance will help the whole family. A prayer of deliverance of evil spirits will leave any member of the family with a complete sense of peace immediately. A prayer of healing from a Christian disciple produces 80% healing. The remaining healing comes from continued prayer of praise and thanksgiving until all the healing is complete. This healing comes from the Holy Spirit through the power in the Name of Jesus Christ.  No other god or deity or doctor uses this power. This proves the TRUTH OF CHRISTIANITY.

ASTONISHING PREDICTIONS

God divinely inspired the BIBLE . How do we know? Each of eight accurate predictions  shows a high probability mathematically. The probability of one individual fulfilling eight prophecies have odds of 1 in 10 17  (1 in 100,000,000,000,000,000). Jesus Christ fulfilled all prophecies, therefore the Bible MUST BE TRUE.

DIVINE OR HUMAN CALIPHS

The Old Testament indicates another 40 astonishing predictions.

CHINA DECEASED RELATIVES

Christianity experiences stunning growth—from approximately 3.8 million adherents in China in 1956 to an estimated 87 to 100 million Christians today.

CHINA AND THE HOLY SPIRIT

Chinese Religion God

AN EXPERIMENT OF GOD’S TOUCH 2

HOW IS JESUS STILL ALIVE TODAY?

Jesus is alive today! He heals today (through His followers) and in many cases it is realized immediately. How else can you explain the explosion of Christianity, the world’s largest religion, on earth: 2.2 billion adherents, nearly a third (31 percent) of all 6.9 billion people on Earth.

Christians know and feel His Presence; they communicate with Him personally; Christian prayers are always answered.

This author has been given the Gift of Healing only because he is a Christian Lay Missionary, who travels  two to three places every year. On his last trip to Columbia he successfully transferred his Gift to his Spanish translators, who were able to heal as he did. He has healed Muslims to their great surprise.

He also delivers away evil spirits along with their healing. All those who are delivered from evil spirits feel a complete physical  sense of peace.

DREAMS AND VISIONS

God can give a message to those non-Christians to change their heart.  God knows faith will be developed eventually. God will come to you in the form of dreams or visions. So be sensitive to any dreams or visions, when you ask God for it earnestly.

Is the BIBLE true? 2

HAVE YOU EVER WONDERED HOW TO BECOME A CHRISTIAN?

god proof

  • Christians don’t shout, “I live a clean life!” Christians whisper “I feel  lost, but now God found me and God forgives me.”
  • Christians don’t speak with pride. They confess that they stumble and need Christ to be their guide.
  • Christians don’t say,” I’m strong.” They say they try to be strong because they need strength.
  • Christians don’t brag about success, but they admit that they fail and they need God to clean the mess.
  • Christians don’t claim to be perfect, but God still believes in them.
  • Christians still feel the sting of pain. They have their share of headaches but they still call upon His Name.
  • Christians are not holier than others. They are simple sinners who receive God’s unbelievable Grace.

Christianity on a Table Napkin:

Deliverance EVIL SPIRITS

“If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”                                                                                                                                     Romans 10:9

The real Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the Living God. He was send by God to come to the earth in the body of a human being. That was, so that He could suffer in the flesh, and take all our sins upon Himself and die in our place. He rose from the dead and lives to pray for us daily.
He is the Savior – The angel announced to Mary; …and you shall call His name JESUS: for He shall save His people from their sins.     Matthew 1:21  It means He has the power to free us, save us and deliver us from sin. He is merciful and has the power to forgive. He brings good news to the poor, heals the heart-broken, announce freedom to all captives, pardons all prisoners. He comforts mourners. He has healing in His hands.
To receive Jesus as your Savior… SAY:

Lord Jesus, You are the Christ, the Son of the Living God. Please hear me today and help me! I want to receive You as my Lord and Savior. Be Lord of my life!  Lord Jesus, I believe that You died for me and that God raised You from the dead. Forgive me all my sins and take all my sins away. Come into my heart and be my Savior and Lord, and fill me with Your Holy Spirit. Amen
Your life will begin to change in an amazing way. Without expecting  anything, be sensitive to any dreams or visions.

God the Father will wipe every tear from our eyes, and there shall be no more death or mourning, crying out or pain. We will be like Him, for we will see Him as He is The Holy Spirit will have made all things new. Eternal joy will begin.  “For the Mighty One has done great things for me— holy is His name.”                                                     Luke 1: 49

Are we not like Barabbas who was justly condemned for murder, but saved by the innocent Jesus on the cross? Are we not like the adulterous woman, deserving of death by stoning, to whom Jesus says, “I do not condemn you”?  And Jesus saved them both. In fact, Jesus came to earth specifically to look for and save those who were lost, like you.

“Come now, let us settle the matter,” says the LORD, “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool”.                                       Isaiah 1:18

You may need some counseling with a pastor, priest or competent Christian worker, who will introduce you to a Short Course on Who is Jesus? Start by reading a short biography of Jesus in  the Gospel of Luke. Read several verses before going to bed and read the same verse upon arising.  He will defend you from attacks of the enemy when you ask Him.
